Question Vinyl-->Digital... softwares?

Hello...

You peoples know of any softwares like Waves Restoration Bundle that won't cost a bundle to do something similar to X-Crackle, X-Pop? Wanna surprise someone with some old records-->to CD for Christmas. Thanks.

Greetings!

www.coyotes.bc.ca/reg.htm "Groove Mechanic" it's fully functional for 15 days in demo mode. detects and removes pops and clicks from scratches amd turntable rumbles.
Maybe that`ll help you.

hrn is an unknown quantity at this point
Removing pops, clicks and scratches and rumble will also remove some of the sound in the music. I suggest to just record it as it is.

I realize that. We're not going for total audio fidelity, here (psst... we're just trying rip some records )

Just interested in something "better" than pop-crrrrackle-crackkkle-pop...pop...pop...

Thanks all for the suggestions. I'll check into 'em.
