I dont know a lot about mics can someone educate me??
Well I know that the SM-57 is good for snare, toms, guitar amp and vocals.....and I also know that it is a dynamic unidirectional mic.....And THAT IS ALL MY KNOWLEDGE ABOUT MICS hahaha
Can someone name the different types of mics (condensers, etc.) and tell me what they are specialized for???......I am lost..... thank you for your time |

The SM57 has a cardiod (uni-directional) pattern, and is therefore not an
omni. Chris |

Thanks Zeke.
Another excellent resource is to go to www.sospubs.co.uk/search and enter "dynamic microphone" and "condenser microphone" (etc.) |
