Samples?

I treid to get a song of a cd and loop it in protools to rap over it or what ever, but i couldent get the right tempo with the click track, how do you do that with protools (there should be a protools, digi design forum) I tried to loop a measure over and over again using the copy and paste functions, is this the right way?
