Hi Kevin , thanks for your interest in Guruland. At the moment things have come to a stand still due to lack of finances. The studio is 90% complete, but to finish everything off requires big bucks ( 23 glass doors $10,000, slate floor in the bar room $2000, door seals $5000 etc )

From the start I decieded not to take any shortcuts and haven't.The studio could have easily been operational by now but this has been my dream so it doesn't matter if it takes another 12 months as long as its sensational.

When John came down to Melbourne to design Guruland he told me to allow $1000 per square foot...You can easily double that.
( Iv'e got 96 of them not including the live area )

My band has been recording an album in different studios over the past couple of months so Iv'e adapted any thing that may improve the conditions. All commercial studios in Australia now are smoke free. Can you imagine Keith Richards recording without a smoke ? I can"t.....So I pulled out the ceilings and inserted exhaust fans, It's things like that which take time and very costly, but has to be done in order to make Guruland world class.

It has been non stop for the past 11 months so I personaly haven't seen a great deal of change but no doubt things have .Everyday something is happening even if it doesn't involve out laying large amounts of money. I'll ring John today and send him the latest photo's so he can update the Guruland site

Thanks again for your interest

All the best
Kev
