Question

Here’s the problem, audio pitch during playback wavers, it speeds up and down at random. Not dramatically, but more than enough to notice.
This is a problem a friend of mine is having, we both use Pro 7 and this is not something I have come across before.
His situation is, he records a track from CD to CW 7 (Or any recording source for that matter) as a stereo take, then during playback he gets the pitch problem.
I have suggested that this could be system performance, or lack of it.
His system is a Pentium 11 350, 64mb SDRAM, 8.4gig HD, SB Live card, (I too use the SB Live with no probs) and he has 84% system resources free.

Any ideas ???

Alan

Cool

I just don't buy the blame laid on system performance/ free resources. With just two tracks playing back (a stereo pair) you shouldn't need that much horsepower to make it work unless there was a drastic reduction in efficiency between CW 6 and CW 7. My P90 w/ 24MB RAM, 4GB HD running CW 6 handled that with no problem and I never ran into this particular problem.
