Cakewalk Pro Audio recording problems

I have an IBM PC that has built in multimedia capabilities (sound card capability built into the mother board. I recently installed Cakewalk Pro Audio 8 which has midi and audio recording capabilities. I can record midi with no problems but when I try to record audio I get a "disk full message". I have over 4 gig of disk space available. Can anyone help?
