ECM8000 Acoustic Sample

I did an acoustic recording a couple of nights ago with a pair of ECM8000’s. I thought the ECM’s sounded great so I wanted to share it with the board and get your opinions. What does everyone think of these mics? Not to shabby at $39 a piece.

do you mind me asking your mic placement for this recording and the preamps you used?
Just curious.

Sounds great.

At $39 a shot and get smooth like that I might grab me one or two.

that's a nice sound man!

i still don't regret going through all the trouble of getting a pair of ECM8000's sent over to malaysia from the states about a year ago...

I put one ecm8000 about 12 inches off the 12th fret pointing at the 12th fret and a second ecm8000 over the right shoulder pointing pretty much directly at the sound hole. I ran the ecm's through the RNC's on the way to my PC. I use my Alesis Studio 32 board pre's. The guitars are dry with no EQing at all. This was my first try result. No tweeking of the mics at all.
