I only do recording, and have been thinking for a while of getting a semi hollow body/archtop kind of guitar.
Looking for a Beatles/twang/jazz hollowbody versatile sound. Don't want to pay $4000 for a Gretsch! Been looking at Epiphone, Ibanez Artcore and other lower priced models. Any recomendations? Thanks! |

I played Bear's multiac for about an hour at the jamfest, or at lease until they used a theramin, three hammers and a roll of duct tape to get it away from me. It's a pretty wild ride; I'd try to play one before you bought anything. A stunning instrument. http://www.8thstreet.com/product.asp...oustic_Guitars http://www.musiciansbuy.com/canadian_guitars.htm Quoted in the $1600 range at Musiciansbuy.

I just picked up an Epiphone Zephyr Blues Delux for my son for Christmas. Of course I have to make sure it's OK so I've been playing the shit, er, making sure the intonation is correct on it. VERY nice guitar. Flame maple, arch top and back, F holes, three P-90 pick ups. This is a quality instrument.

Treeline,
That Godin looks great, they're making some amazing stuff lately. I played a Godin solid body nylon a few months ago that was a pleasure. |

Check out A-Plus Guitars. They're a reputable on line dealer. You can pick up a new ES-335 Dot for $1600 with case.
I don't know, what's your spending limit? |
