CW 7.02 Problem

I have a cakewalk 7 file that contains both audio and midi tracks. The problem I am having is that every time I attempt to automate in the (cakewalk's) mixing console (i.e., snapshots, recording, etc.) the audio files quit playing. If I erase the "Console" track the audio sound comes back. What is the problem? It only does it on this particular, not to large file.
