Eq'ing the final mix
Hey,
I was messing around with a fast mix I made of a band I'm recording, and filterted some freqs of the entire final mix. To my opinion it sounds much better, but since I'm monitoring through some cheap speakers with a great lack of high freqs and more stuff I could be really wrong. Please take a listen. This is a sample of the original and the same sample with the eq-preset I made for this song. Thanks. |

EQ sounds fine to me...
however it seems that the vocals are off on their intonation...but I'm a drummer at heart and there wasn't much to go on ...and the vocals would need a little reverb I sure you were going to add reverb later anyway... but it's late and I feel like rambling...so I like to use more ambient reverb with a mix of ...say...10%-25% |

Sounds a bit muddy to me. Might want to cut some lows out of that guitar. The voice sounds, how can I say it... separate from the mix. May need a bit of reverb on it, something to smooth it into the rest of the sounds. But, what do I know?
