Word guys.
Ok, I have a Gina and use it to record guitar and things. I use an SM57 and run it right into one of the line inputs. I just realized the concept of PREAMP. I have never used one of these before, and am wondering if purchasing one will increase the sound quality I can get. Also, what one would you guys recomend? What about the Art Tube MP? Thanks. |

howdy - get that art tube MP - i have a gina and the tube MP for 99 bucks at zzounds.com is one of the best bangs for the buck. it sounds great, is simple as hell to use and you can also use it for an instrument preamp.

I have seen tons of postings saying the Art preamps are great devices for the money also. Considering that you play guitar though, why not get a Pod as you will be getting a preamp, amp simulations, and great effects in one unit. I just got off the Pod where I was playing acoustic guitar mic'd directly into the tube preamp.......with a little chorus, delay and reverb, you get a great sound.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this idea? |
