New Synth
I am looking to buy a new synth. I'm looking for something for $400 or under, no more.
I am looking for something with a lot of good sounds, preferably realistic piano sounds. Any suggestions? I had eyed the Yamaha S03 which goes for under $400 on eBay. I am using an Yamaha SY-55 right now but the damn keys keep breaking and the sounds on it aren't that realistic. |

It will be difficult to find a great sounding synth for 400
Check into the Yamaha PSR models |

You should be able to find some good ones for $400 if you buy second hand though.

U20
For second hand and reasonably god sounds in your budget try the Roland U20. It's a sample player and possibly a bit limited if you want to do dance tracks, if you want a good piano and a pallete of good sample based sounds you could do a lot worse. Also if you intend to retain your Yamaha keybooard get something of a similar vintage or else the older of the two will sound dated
