Vf160

Sorry if this has been asked before , first visit today !

The optional CDR 1a is £199 .
Is this the only CDR that will fit , as laptop ones are much cheaper ?
I am not a computer nerd so do not know whether they are compatible etc etc .
Anyone help me save some money ?
Tried a SCSI Zip for backup but the song I saved toon 4 disks at & quid each plus the drives are expensive .
Apparently everything ScSI is expensive !!

I am not sure about a replacement for the internal drive, but I know that atleast for the VF16, there are only a really select few drives that will work (Ie the $300 Plexwriter 12/10/32) I would assume that since the VF16 and 160 are so similar, it would be the same thing (unfortunately)

However, on the flip side (what I did) you could get a Terratec EWS-88D (~$200) which will allow you to use the ADAT interface to transfer 8 tracks simultaneously -- so you can record to multitrack software (cakewalk, samplitude, etc..) and have more flexibility over your final mix and then use your computers CD-RW to create the CDs (or backups, etc..)
