V-amp 2

...I'm thinking about buying the V-amp 2 by Beringer, online...There is no place around me that I can test drive one so I have to order it site unseen...Is there anyone out here that has experience with one...???...Is it comparable to the Line 6 Pod or Pod Pro???...Is it trash???
The lowest price I could find is $139+shipping...

hey - i got one of those

have you been to the site where it gives you some audio samples??? - its pretty close to the sound you'll get.

i think its the official site or something.

but i find that it works great - of the guys ive asked they said the pod maybe a little better but definately not as much better as the price difference suggests.............

in other words - if youre on a budget - get the v-amp2 - it has some great sounds - im happy with it

got it...

I got it...and I have to say it's real good for the price...I mainly wanted it to do some straight recording with but found out that it has some pretty cool combinations on it...and yes I did check out the vamp website...you can download a lot of presets there too...
thanks for the input y....

cool - enjoy!

if you work out some good combinations then let me know.

I've used it live a well - you just preset one of the blank channels and uses the foot pedal - 5 effects each one is enough.

have fun

Yep definately better than the POD.
The v-amp can do everything the POD can do and more. And best of all it's a heck of alot cheaper.

It's probably not as good as a miked amp but it does a very good job which is why it's mainly suited to homerecording applications.

Here is a great site you can get heaps of presets:
