Console detail drawing test

First off, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone. Second, YEAAAAAAAAAA! Dragon is upgrading the speed!!! Cool. Thanks Dragon.
Howdy all, well I'm posting this for whoever is interested. This is just a test for scale. It is a detail of a vertical section detail, at the engineer side of my console, which is already built. But I am adding 2 removable and adjustable "arms" that support various things as I need them. The detail shows one supporting a "midiizer. They also support keyboards, drink trays, mic iso mounts, guitar hangers, clipboard brackets etc. etc. This is actually 1 of a series of control room and studio drawings that I will post in the weeks to come of things I have already built, and things to come. I LOVE to build as much as I LOVE to play music. Which one wins is a matter of the moment OK, there is a pic to show the relationship. My current space is in a 9'x11' bedroom, so I try and build things for saving floor space for 2 players(me and my best friend mostly) and so I do things that are not usually done. Like my mic booms are mounted on a truss above my console. Works great. Here goes(this is NOT a studio, it is my experimental "woom"

Ok, all fixed. These pics suck. Need great light, and good camera, and good subject.
They are a year old, and I've done quite a few alterations. I'm almost ready to install 703 panels and diffuser and bass traps above cabinet work over console. More stuff to do first. Cover panels. Install frame cleats, cut diffuser elements to length, etc. etc. The list gets longer and time gets shorter. You know.

console vertical and longitudinal sections..

Hello, These are the sections for the console, so once I post the whole control room, you will understand how they relate.

If HR had an autocad reader, I could posst the whole file, and you could zoom in on any detail. Maybe someday. In the meantime, I have to post each section/detail.

Ditto- and I listened to them in a showroom before buying. Everything else was $200 or more above them though. What you gonna do? I'd like to get events, but I need a new mixer first. Crap, this upgrade thing sucks.

Now that you've critiqued things, you still haven't told me what you meant by the mixerman thing. Or do you just go around bad mouthing people? Were you refering to the "woom". If so, Mixermans is "womb". Different noun. My grandfather had a collection of stuff in a room he refered to as his "woom". I took it from him. That was 20 yrs ago. And besides, I don't give a shit about pro engineers. By the tone of offerings on PROREC, I have come to the conclusion egomania runs rampant worse in the AES than musicians. After reading the first few chapters of his "doc", it was fairly apparant that he is just another music world nobody snivilig about things that the average person would laugh about. Get a life. He could be in afganastan with a rifle and 0 degree weather holding a cold M16 while on watch. He thinks working with dumb ass is impossible. What if dumb ass had a rifle pointed at his head. Give me a fucking break. Why would I read his crap "too much", as I think he is a joke. Good engineer maybe. Who cares. I don't. I have more respect for my plumber. At least he is real, and he doesn't snivel or demand chocolate muffins before "working". If you can call what mixerman does "working". He hasn't a clue what real work is about, cause hes been enclosed in a "vibe and fatty enhanced" environment with live music, sushi bars and catered meetings, first class travel, and many other accrutrements of upper end recording studio benifits for so long he has forgot how lucky he is. Oh my god, I forgot how dangerous his job is too. I mean, you can sever your little finger editing 2" tape. Ha! I bet the miners in Kentucky would have a field day with this guy if they had a chance to read "his" documentary. Even though it is funny, I think its funny for other reasons. Him. I hope this enlightens you.

Guess what i'm stuck with at the moment... yup - Zero's... And, your right about the price too, everything else was far more... I was skint and needed some sound

As for the people over at ProSoundWeb, i would never ask them any technical questions, the attitude i get over there is more like the dungeon we have at homerecording.com - most people are there to stand around and be sarcastic.

If your ready for that, then it's quite funny...

As for the Womb... yes, it's direct from MM. He's been keeping the chronacles from a gig he's doing with some band called Bitch Slap (what he's called them)... Anyway, he's always referring to the control room as the womb. Your comments about the diary's are fair... but i don't read the diary's and wish I was him... I read them and laugh at how stupid the people around him are. He has a wonderfull way with words, and describes the behaviour of the people around him wonderfully.

It's makes my day a little easier to take...

Cheers

Hello everyone, whew! Back on line again. I was going into HR withdrawals Amazing. I thought I got shut out from my big mouth I hope no one took offence at my slap at "pro engineer". My view is of doing the best I can with what I have, just like everybody else here, but lately it seems theres been a lot of "you can't do shit with that" attitude around the forum. Hell, for years I had a ball with a cassette and an SM-58. And thats where my HR is really at. Anyway. My apology to the pros.
Ok, it seems these tests are going ok. I don't expect anyone to understand these sections etc. as they need some photos along with them to illustrate the final product.
My whole point here, is to show what you can do if you don't want to settle for whats on the market. My console took quite a bit of time, but just like recording, you get out what you put in. I put in many many hours on it. But everyday I sit in front of it, and have to modify cabling, or change equipment, I am glad I did it now. Its not perfect. But it works for me. I will post some more details as I convert them. There are over 50. I hope you can see that this console has legs that die into cable troughs built into a floor. The legs are cable chases also. That way all cableing to other things are hidden. But accessable. The floor cable chases have a removeable cover for access. The cables come up through the legs into the console. At least, this is the way I want things. OK, here are some more. Same ones with more detail. I'll post more as I have time. I know most people just want to have something quick. This is definitly NOT quick. It is unique though. Also, I hid all text and dimensions for clarity here. Like I said before, if we had a autocad reader, you could turn on the layer with text etc.

Hello Rochey, hey, I apologize at my defense mechanizim Its from an ex wife
And about the Zeros. Hey, I use them for my stereo system, and tv, computer, cassettes, etc. They really don't sound half bad, compared to what I used to have. Its all relative anyway. I don't have a studio that would make anything else sound any better cause its only 7' from my monitors to the rear wall, so I'm probably getting phase cancellation, but who cares?. You gotta enjoy what you have, while you have it, otherwise, IT AIN'T NO (*&(*_@$#&^%$*FUN!! And I'm doin it for myself anyway, so RAVE ON Zero's!(Till I get better ones anyway)

Hello Weston, how ya doin guy? Sorry I havn't got back to you. Lack of time syndrome. I've got a lot of things finished for my studio though. And the diffuser thing is still waiting for my attention too! Damn, seems like I'll be building this thing forever(its as fun as the music though, almost,
