Question

Can Vs-880>PC used as a remote controler?

Is anybody using the Vs-880 8 linear faders as a remote control unit to move and record (automate) the faders/pan movements in the Cakewalk Mixing Console via MIDI /C.C?
I know is possible to automate VS-880 from Cakewalk using the VS-880 template createed for VS-880 but not viceversa , in Cakewalk the movement of the faders is not recorded or ... I couldn't.
Some other ( usually any digital/midi equipment can do that)mixers, or controlers like JL Cooper, Control Freak Yamaha and Roland digital mixers can do that.
Since VS-880 is a Mixer and can receive and send Midi, MTC , C.C why cannot be used as the above machines without going through the expense, just for that purpose?.
Thanks
