vs880ex digital outs

I noticed that the vs 880ex optical outs are labeled 7,8. I am assuming this means that only tracks 7 and 8 are fed through the optical outs. I was a little upset by this, beings that I was hoping to go from my digital outs into my stand alone cd burner, without haveing to bounce everything down to two tracks on the recorder. I alwyas get this feeling that when I bounce down, I am losing quality. I noticed that the 840 digital outs were not labeled this way. do all eight tracks go to the digital outs on the 840?

Wrong! I mixdown through the optical outs all the time. You should have no problems mixing down to your stand-alone burner.
