Mastering Question

Folks,
I finally got my tracks mixed at the studio. The tracks were all recorded at home with the Delta 66 OMNI studio. I took my equipment and computer and routed the tracks to the studio mixer. The studio guy did all the mixing. Unfortunately he does not do proper mastering. He does not have any high end equpment or software.
Anyway, the mix sounded good there on his system. It took 12 hours and $500.00 to finish. However the music is too bassy and dull on my home stereo. Will Mastering help? Or will I have to live with it?

Mastering WILL help............ unless the mix is so out of whack that it needs a remix (which doesn't seem to be the case based on your description)!
