I missed 4 and got a 71%.
Not a great score, but for my level of expertise I'm not too unhappy with it. I mean, if I got all 14 I wouldn't need to hang out here so much, now would I?!

Hey!
I got 93% (just missed question 1 -- but it really is a question whether a max. of 10 in gain reduction for vocals should not be considered 'normal' instead of 'heavy'... Well perhaps they considered an average reduction of 10 dB...) Anyway - if I know everything then why do my mixes sound like shit??? aXel

my score
7, 10 were wrong and i got 86% ...........i don't remember what those questions were ........ i don't really understand the point of the quiz.............when i compress i just go by ear......i don't pay much attention to what or how much i'm adjusting, as long as it sounds good.

Who wrote that quiz? Half of the questions were pretty subjective, "What is a good ratio for vocals"
 That depends on the vocals.6 and 7 are flat out wrong. Usually if a compressor is breathing you lengthen the release time. If you want to enhance an instrument's attack you decrease the compressor attack time but that depends on how much make up gain you are using.

OK I sort of did it. Sort of becuase...to many questions are ambiguous and so I didnt reply to those to check at least the others (which were very simple and clear).
I'm not being a party pooper becuase these quizs are fun but..... here are some examples of the problem in such a quiz For example A good compression ratio setting needed for vocal compression is: 5:1 10:1 Now how can that be answered ?! with out hearing the vocals or knowing the style ?!?!Or your objective ?! Some times I'll use 7:1 which is a in between setting so.... whats the correct answer? Some singers need only slight limiting using a 10:1 but the THRESHOLD !! will make it or break it...maybe you want to tame a peak only ?!?! And this one.... Give the release time setting for compressing a bass line: Choices: fast slow What kind of question is that? !?!? If the release is to slow then the compressort might not have enough time to turn the signal up after compression and if its to fast then the compressing can be to obvious.... The release should be set accourding to the song and how the bass player is playing. Is it long half notes? short stacatto ? how long does he hold on to the notes etc...... What ever happend to - Set the release time acourding to the Tempo of the song ......?!?!?!?!? And this: If there was too much gain reduction on a compressor, do the following: Choices: decrease threshold increase threshold What ever happend to "To high a ratio" ? The ratio has a lot of control on the amount of gain reduction after the signal passes the Threshold. The quiz is fun but so inacurate that it isnt a measure to anything really.

I got an 86, there were only two choices per question
but i read some of these posts first, what's an exciting compressor? is that sarcasm? And the other one i got wrong was about enhancing attack, which, as was said before, doesnt really make sense, because a faster attack would tame the peak of an instruments attack while a slower attack wouldnt. I guess, im a sore loser
