selling CDs online...

Hey you any of you know of the best place to sell your CDs online?

Basically I want to do all the shipping/order processing but I need a place that has good credibility for online credit card transactions and also that is secure. I've seen some places charge you 20% of sales but that seems kinda steep.

Would it be cheaper to set up my own merchant account with a credit card company/bank and build a secure system into my website?

I'm sure there are plenty of you out there that have been though this and any advise you may have would be great to know!

Thanks, cory

Setting up your own system could cost you several thousand dollars a year in bank fees, merchant fees, etc.

If you wish to do everything yourself, marketing, order proc, shipping, etc., nothing beats a paypal account. Lowest rates of most online merchants, and no huge approval wait, etc..

You will, of course, do better if you place your CD in as many locations as possible that will allow you to do things such as 'Self Ship', and simply take a small cut.

PAY-PAL MANNNNN!!!!

Go with Pay-pal...
They are real easy to set up directly on your site and the fees are very minimal... if you work things right there aren't any fees!

If you need help at all regarding how it works or how to set it up let me know and I'd be glad to help you out.

Also, get your cd out to as many other online stores as possible... read what each site has to offer and how much it will cost you.
The more people that see/hear you cd the better chance you have of selling it.
