They also make an 8 track minidisc recorder: the Yamaha MD8. I have one and it still sits in my studio; however, with the advent of my 2816 by Yam, I don't use the MD8 much any more. I did some good stuff on the MD8 and was amazed at some remixes I did from MD8 into 16 bit sound via the 2816. So, two tracks on the minidisc won't get you too far but if you're having fun, do it. Yo
Thanx Green - the ol DAW does most tricks but the MD with stereo mikes gets some places you just can't go with considerable convenience. All I need now is a rechargeable battery. The Sony one is unique and costs $70 here which is repugnant to my parsimoniousness

Go on line and search for battery suppliers. A short time ago it was time to replace my cell phone battery. Local store wanted 35 dollars. Ten minutes on line and I got the best battery available for 18 dollars and a few dollars shipping. Maybe you can luck out if you take a look on the net. Green Hornet ![]() |

Yo ToneMaster:
One other thought just came to me; I have this old flip phone by Motorola, like Capt. Kirk's old phone. Quite a neat phone. When the rechargeable batteries died, I took one to Radio Shack. I paid them and in four days my new battery was in the mail. You might try Radio Shack. Green Hornet ![]() |
