midi/keyboard question

I have managed to get copies of soundforge 5.0 and sonar 2.0 with these programs could I take sounds and play them on a keyboard, for example could I take drum samples and program a drum loop with the keyboard, If I can do this type of thing what type of keyboard do I need

It can be done with Sonar, but not sound forge.

You just load the DXi(direct x instument) named Cyclone(should have been packaged with Sonar) and load samples according to key.



Any keyboard with midi out jacks would do the trick cuz.

so I'm trying to bring up the cyclone thing, so I clicked on the the synth rack then I clicked on the button to bring up a dxi instrument but nothing happens, what does this mean
