One cool drum machine

Or rather two of them. :-)

This 30MB mp3 contains a live performance of "Valve" done with two Elektron Machinedrum drummachines and nothing else.

http://www.elektron.se/superparty/audio/valve.mp3

I'm currently 12 minutes through the set, and not bored yet. I want one of these beasts, but they are expensive as hell, so it will have to wait a couple of years.

man, oh man...

I bought my machinedrum last summer and have NEVER, for one second, regretted spending one damn cent. I've been toying around with the idea of getting another one, since I don't have any friends with one to jam with, but it looks like that's about 2 months off... My old lady thought it was stupid to buy 2 of the same thing until she heard some stuff I did on machinedrum alone.

If i could only gave one piece of gear (turntables not included, or they'd win hands down), it would be a Machinedrum - and that's coming from a (rather electronic) b-boy... I guess a groovebox or workstation would be anobvious choice, but nah...

If only Elektron would make a standalone, tweakfreak sampler now....
