I would buy a motif or triton and gut them out and put them into CPU cases.

you could also buy a motif and re-sample every sound in every key and then load all the wav data into your computer with a 500gb HD.

No they don't. that's just how much space the samples would create on your hard drive. Well maybe not THAT much space.
To answer your original question my suggestions would be; Sequencing program, (Cubase, Logic, Sonar etc.) Sonic Reality's Sonic Synth Halion or other soft sampler If you're into hip-hop then I suggest the PlugSound Hip-Hop/R&B VST Instrument. |

1) Absynth
2) soft sampler 3) PlugSound Hip-Hop/R&B VST Instrument 4) and maybe another softsynth with a decent selection of "standard" sounds or something a bit more "customized" like the organ-thing softsynth if you're really into organs, etc... Hmmm... Maybe I should sell my motif and other goodies... hope that helps... Flo' Dolo
