I was looking at a VS1680 yesterday. I was BLOWN AWAY by this little sucka'! My question is this The unit and the 2 cards
required for onboard effects New $2,900.00 What cha guys think? Thabks DWDRX

Is that US$ ? It seems a little high. 8th Street Music has the VS-1680 for $2129US. Now I'm not sure if that includes the effects cards, but I don't think they cost $800. Check www.8thStreet.com, and search the Hot Deals section of this BBS.

Thanks for the info.
The price braeks down as this.
Yes it is US $

Roland Vs 1680 = 2,100.00
2 Sound cards = 250.00 each
Tax CA = 203.05 total 2,823.00

I went to 8th street and the price is almost the same. I did not see the sound cards included tho. Thanks

Thats about the size of it. No matter where you look pricewise thats pretty much the story if you want the 1680 and the sporty effects cards. Outside of that the best you can hope for is a used unit listed with a store, paper or auction. But you know the 880 is about 1000 less. Evaluate your needs on that one. They are pretty much capable of the same things, it is just a capacity issue more than anything.
