Question Novation A Station Opinions

Had any experience with it? What do you think of it? I am looking at an analog modeling synth that won't break the bank.

Specifically I need a rack mount synth b/c of space issues, I don't need or want another keyboard. I tried the Korg Ms2000r, The Nord Lead (way out of my price range), the Roland JP 8080 and the Novation A Station. I am leaning toward the Novation simply because it seems to cover all the bases the others cover and is a one rack unit.

I am also considering the Waldorf micro Q, although I haven't found one to try out.

What do you think?

TIA

Albert

I like the K-Station a lot. It's only 2 octaves - would that help your space situation?

Haven't touched an A-Station, but the K is nothin'-but-great.

both are great machines, although you'll find the q more expensive and elaborate... it's a really big machine inside a tiny little box... the a-station will be cool if you allready have a midi keyboard, the k-station only adds some extra buttons and sliders...
it will also provide you with a most amazing fx section... no extra boxes needed..
