Arrow Roland Xp-30

I'm working on my first setup. I'm almost decided on the Xp-30 & an Emu Mo-Phatt module. I'm into hip-hop music, I heard alot of instrumentals & beats made with it & I like what I hear. I know it doesnt have a sequencer, but theres ways around that. I'm new so I need some help here, is the Xp-30 a good all-around station to start off with? Ive heard it has alot of hip-hop esque sounds. I just need something I can make what I like, which is hip-hop and still be able to venture off towards an r&b, west coast gangster & some old soul funk I can blend in when I work on sampling. Thank you in advance, I'm gone.

If you want a sequencer and that keyboard, you may want to check out the XP-60 as well?

Best wishes

The XP30 is a very versitle keyboard - not only does it come with a lot of hip hop/techno sounds it also has some decent accoustic sounds.

Between the XP30 and the Mo Phatt you will have more than enough sound options - although if you get serious about this, at some point you will likely be looking to add a sampler to your rack.
