Soft Samplers

It appears that the era of software samplers is well upon us. I wish to join in the fun. Gigastudio, formerly Gigasampler is unavailable without the purchase of a seperate PC becuase I a running a Mac G4 with Digital Perfomer.Even if they do make a Mac version, becuase DP is Native, it would probably tax the CPU so much as to not be worth it.

Therefore, can anyone suggest another soft sampler. KONTAKT (sp?) seems a possible choice. Other choices, wait for the Mac Gigastudio and upgrade to dual processor. Etc. and so on. Anyway, I would love to hear about experiences, projections, ideas, suggestions and/or anything else that may help to make the best possible decision here.

Dont know what recording software your using, but Logic has the EXS24 which is excellent and easy to use. Only works with Logic Audio though.

On behalf of Jack, that would be Digital Performer 3.2.
