Besides Fruityloops, what else is a good cakewalk for makin hip-hop beats? Do they sell one for under $60? I want one that will be real good on makin hip-hop beats.

cakewalk has loops, fruity loops has loops, acid has loops, gigasampler lets you use your PC as a sampler, and you can then trigger the samples into samplitude, sonar, nuendo, n-tracks or any of the other sequencers on the market.

some of these software makers even sell 'academic' versions of their software so if you are in school you don't have to pay as much.

having said that, please do purchase the software. don't take food from off my plate.
