Question Sonar sync

Hi, people -

I'm new to using Sonar. I just discovered that Sonar can only send MIDI clock messages out of a single port at a time. I have six MIDI ports and most of my gear has features (e.g. LFO's, delays, arp's) that can sync to MIDI clock. I really don't want to have to record to a .wav file so I can sync all of my devices. The guy from tech support said to use a thru box but this kind of limits the set up to 16 MIDI channels. I guess I could use a thru box with a MIDI filter (to filter out all data but the MIDI clock data) and then use some MIDI mergers to merge the clock data with the MIDI input of each of my pieces of gear. This option is a little expensive to compensate for a shortcoming in Sonar. (Maybe there's a good techncial reason for this "shortcoming".)

How is everyone working around this technical issue?
