Dave Gilmour Gear (item)

Hi

I've seen Dave Gilmour twice on TV in the last few months. Once on Parkinson playing some bluesy stuff using a Fender Bassman amp and again last night with a few acoustics, a slide guitar, etc...

In both ocassion I noticed a small device that sits on top of one of his amps. Its has a analogue dial display (I think) in the upper half and and 4 knobs on the lower half. It actually looks like a 1930's radio.

Does anyone know what this is?

Thanks
gtds

Almost sounds like a PreAmp. But with him it could be anything...

Well I thought the same - either a pre-amp or some weird old compressor...

There must be some big fan out there who knows...

I was gonna suggest www.guitargeek.com but they don't have it! There are some cool setups there though.

A very good timewaster/daydream-about-gear site.
