Question

Iam having problem setting up my roland xp-80 could anyone tell me how would I do that(setting up my sound so that when I change the sound on my keyboard the sounds I previoulsy recorded won't change. Another question I have a mpc2000xl and I want to know would it be better to make the beat and dump the entire beat into cubase. Or could you tell me how to make the beat track for track in cubase

-thanks-

Make sure that you have your MIDI channel for each track set to a specific MIDI channel, and not to "any". If your still having trouble make sure that you have your global control on your synth set to off.

If you want to set up your synth you can do it in your midi device setup area. It might take a few hours but it is worth it to be able to click on a channel and have the right name for the sound available. In this case however, you need to assign channels to certain banks in order to get things to work properly. This was the one thing that took me a bit of toying around with to realise.

I haven't had to make a click track yet in SX, but it should be easy, check out the manual.
