Small hand drums for recording

In order to save myself money and time by not buying a drumset or driving around with my 4-track to record a drum track, I was wondering if this set of mini bongos would do the trick for my bedroom demos of songs:

Those bongos are very, very small. However, I've had friends who have done some impressive four track work with similar instrumentation. And yes, they will be 100 times more portable than a trap set.
