kick ass!!!

Excellent playing. Reminded me a of a cross between Cinderella and something you'd hear from Stephan Grossman.

The mix was pretty far back.. it felt like I was at the back of a warehouse and you were at the other end. Was that your desired effect? I think maybe placing the listener a little closer to the source might work a little better. I on the underhand have a tendency to mix totally in your face. I recently posted an acoustic slide piece that is totally in your face. If your interested, I'll give ya a link.

What was your set-up?

the player Greg, was sitting in front of a Groove Tubes mic GT55, about 2 feet away. I used a reverb preset in Cool Edit Pro and EQ'd and put a fade in in the beginning. He is playing an old Oscar Schmidt guitar and a brass slide. Gonna have more stuff coming soon. Thx for the response, Charva

I thought I recognized the CEP reverb. Which reverb and what settings? What other processing did you do? Any compression?

I don't remember which verb it was JR. no brain cells left here. only other things i did to it was a 3db boost and normalize. I have heard the Med. Slide before, I will give it another listen (I may have downloaded it already)

Killer playing. A little crisp/sizzly. I'd say too much reverb but it really suits the tune. Nice.
