How can I improve my recordings?

how can I improve my recording here...I'm using cool edit pro 2.0, ibanez electric GAX 6-string guitar, fender frontman amp, a cheap pc mic, and myself. My computer is a 450 mhz PII mmx, soundblaster 64D scard, Windows 98 1st edition, 128 mb/ram.

http://www.soundclick.com/faith23

please give suggestions, thanks

you're kinda right, but I just wanted to improve on my recordings so the easiest way to record a song was to play a cover since I couldn't really think of any other chords or scales to play.

I tried listening but that soundclick site wouldn't let me...

I got a "connection failure" error trying to load your music page (tried for about 10 minutes off and on).

powderfinger is on a distinguished road
do nowhereradio.........it's very reliable and allows others to listen without signing up (some people here won't listen to mp3.com for that reason)
