These are supposed to be just killer mixers for the money! I just bought a nearly-new M8 on eBay from a fellow who's about an hour from my house. Got a killer, killer deal, apparently the first owner is a rich gearhead who upgrades every couple months. But - I am just beginning to build my project studio and I won't have a tape machine for another month or so, so my initial experience with it (later this week) will be limited....
