I have three Audix OM-02's I got them a couple of months ago. I only used them for one performance and they have never been dropped or anything.
My real problem is this...In stead of using these mics for live vocals for a band I am now using them to mic a drum set for recording. I have been considering trying to trade these up for 3 shure 57's. I can get a shure 57 for 79.00 so thats only a little more than I paid for the audix's...What do you think? Should I do it?

The Audix OM-2 has the same capsule as the D-2, considered one of the best tom mikes available. The OM-2 is also great on snares.
What you might need more than SM57's is a good bass drum mic and a pair of overheads. If you don't have those they should be your priority- Audio Technica ATM or Pro 25 Electro-Voice ND868 AKG D112 Oktava MC012 Marshall 603 Audio Technica 4041 or 3031 Neumann KM184 .......etc. |

Maybe I should have stated this before...on top of the 3 audix )M-02's I have a Equitek E-200 condenser...and a Sennheiser e835... So I have other mics. But it seems alot of people use Shure 57 and 47's. I wanted to know peoples general opinion of these mics in compareison to the shure 57.
