Are my songs that I put up on Nowhere radio copyrighted? I think it says so on the bottom of the nowhere page. Would this ever hold up in court?

in certain courts, your copyright has to be registered with the copyright office to persue a lawsuit.......
as a side note, the minute you create a piece, it is copyrighted by definition.....it is yours.....registering it is just used as proof....... |

A quick way to copywrite something is send it to yourself in the mail. Don't open it. Put it away somewhere safe. It has a postal stamp and its enough to hold up in court.....

I rarely suggest using the search engine, but search the word "copyright" in the songwriters forum
http://homerecording.com/bbs/search....der=descending this argument has been beat to death....... |

Put all your songs on a CD, fill out the copyright form (Form PA) listing them as a "Collection" or whatever, get a money order for $30 and mail it all to the US copyright office. Website is http://www.loc.gov/copyright/forms/ . That's the ONLY way you'll be covered.
And like Gidge said, this argument has been beat to death. Check out the search engine. DD |
