sequencers

Does this software exist: good, cheap sequencer that loves VST.

I need this kind of program to work with wave files and Fruity Loops. (I've got Cool Edit, but if you work with Fruity Loops and Cool Edit, you will quickly experience living illustrations of the meanings of expressions like 'cumbersome', 'does not work well with others' and 'a pain in the butt'.)

As I understand it, technically, Cubase VST IS a software-based sequencer - it can effectively sequence audio and midi data/events/segments, etc.

Sorry if I'm being obtuse here.... What are you hoping to do - use wav's and Fruity Loops together, as asked in the question, or are you looking for more than that?

Could you export your tracks from Fruity Loops as wav files at the appropriate tempo, and import them into cubase, or could you play them with fruity loops, as you route the loops back into your soundcard, ultimately recording them into cubase?

Chris

What I was hoping to do was be able to use Fruity and the other software simultaneously, while I was working on the same beats track in Fruity - shipping the Fruity file in and out of the sequencer quickly so that I could hear what it sounded like in the mix.

Since last night, however, I've found a way to ship whole wave files into Fruity, so I think the problem's solved.
