Angry Sonar and Omni Studio

Ok...
So I bought the Omnio Studio (w/ the Delta 66 card) and am trying to record with Sonar.

The problem that I encountered was that, although I managed to record and play back the sound, there is a constant noise in the playback...

When I use the Omni to just listen to music (w/ RealOne or Windows Media Player), the noise isn't there. So I'm convinced that it's my setup in Sonar that's causing the noise...could anyone give me any pointers?

Here's what I did:
I plugged the mic (Shure SM58) into "Input 1" (which is a mic/instrument preamp) of the Omni Studio and have my speakers plugged into the monitor outs. Iguess I'm a little bit iffy concerning what to select in Sonar (in terms of in's and out's). uh, I am trying to be as detailed as I can, but since I'm just starting out I really don't know much...please help!!!
