Cubasis VST 3.0

Is this a decent program (please say yes, 'coz I just spent my precious pennies on this!)

How many of you out there actually use this?

Yes. At least I think so...

I started out with n-track, then started using Cubasis when I got a copy with a usb control surface.

The version I had was limited to recording only 2 tracks at a time (fine, I rarely need more recording at home) and no more than 8 track, total (Big no no. 8 tracks gets crowded, FAST.)

I haven't looked into the newer version of Cubasis since I upgraded to VST 5.1 and now SX. I hope they have upped it to more than 8 tracks. Most modern computers can handle WAY more than only 8 tracks.

Anyways, Cubasis sounds fine, the plugins are good, and I really like Steinberg's interface. I find it easy to work in, mixing and automation is easy and powerful.

There are certainly better programs out there, but then you have to pay a lot more for them.

Enjoy!
Chris

Turn your PC into a professional music studio with unlimited possibilities: Cubasis VST features up to 48 audio channels (Wave and MP3) and 64 MIDI tracks, mixers and real-time effects. 4 virtual sound modules (synth, bass, GM module and drum machine) are just waiting to be taken through their paces. The interactive tutorial shows you how to get started - in only a few minutes. Compose songs, edit sound, print scores, produce videos and burn CDs with surround sound. Cubasis VST is the perfect tool for making your music: on your computer or over the Internet.

I didn't realise they had included this much power/flexability in the program. Looks like you have plenty to work with Abyyss. Have fun!
