strange rustling noise on mic
Hi
I have a Spirit Folio notepad. We used to have two AKG mics which sounded fine on it. I upgraded to an SM58 and a SM58Beta A, and now we get this weird rustling sort of sound whenever we move the mics. When I touch something metal on the mixer, the rustling is reduced yet still audible. It happens on all four mic inputs, with both mics, no matter what lead I use. Any ideas? It just sounds unprofessional live, that's all. Cheers! |

Re: strange rustling noise on mic
The xlr mic cable is bad near the connector.
The xlr jack wires inside the mic are bad/loose. The xlr jack is corroded. The xlr jack is distorted/misaligned. the mic circuitboard is damaged, cracked, or otherwise injured. the wires between the mic capsule and the circuit board are damaged. Quote:
