Re-starting out
I used to have a old fostex 4-track cassette record now I want to get started again (actually my wife will use it more).
What we have: 1.) PC88MX Midi Keyboard controller 2.) Cakewalk 2002 Homestudio (we have cakewalk 3.0 but are upgrading) 3.) Acoustic Piano / Guitar / Banjo 4.) Dell desktop PC with windows ME Need to buy: 1.) Digital Multitracker The things we want to do: 1.) 100% midi created software (PC88/Cakewalk) to CD (don’t need multitracker) 2.) Mix Midi created software with live audio (piano, guitar, banjo) to CD 3.) 100% live track at a time music (piano, guitar, banjo) to CD We have a CD burner available, so we need to export the music from the digital recorder on to a format so we can burn our own CD. I believe Korg uses a proprietary format so you have to use their CD burner???? Just wondering if anyone has a recommendation of a digital recorder (8-track) that is fairly easy to use and can export files to a PC for CD burning. Hope this all makes sense and thanks in advance, Kevin

Why don't you use the computer as the multi-tracker?

Re-starting out
>>use pc as multitracker<<
I like the portability of an external multitracker. While my wife is in the piano/computer room, I can take it downstairs and work on guitar/banjo type stuff. Kevin
