Hello,
I have tried using the tempo / pitch change in Cool Edit but more than a few seconds worth of sample or too much tempo / pitch change and things are noticably sounding too inaccurate. Am I not using it well ? Are these the limitations ? Is there another program greater than Cool Edit that will handle pitch / tempo changes more accurately ? I have tried Sonic Foundry Acid but I'm still looking for the ultimate pitch / tempo changer. Also, scratch elimination from an LP takes FOREVER and distorts the final product. I was using "Spin Doctor" in the Adaptec Easy CD Creator 4 Suite but I computer goes psycho now whenever I load it (because I get too much conflict with the sound card even though I've changed the interrupts), so I am looking for an alternative. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help. |

check out Recycle by propellerheads. (beat slicer is very similar, but not as good). Recycle is the best tempo manipulating software i've used.

I also have had pretty decent results with Soundforge, but I'd listen to "cat-eggs" if I were you. Have you HEARD his stuff. Absolutely amazing.
