Unhappy reducing reverb time

I decided to kill the bueatiful (but much too long 2,3sec) reverb in my new studio since I found out that most of my work comes from modren jazz musician and that full blasting bass-clarinet+ drums just can't play fast+loud in this acoustic.
the room as a wood floor ,one wall and celling from plaster filled with alot of rockwool other wall is bricks with windows another one is the control roomwindow and the last wall is stone wall.
how can I deaden the room fast and efectivelly and (at least as begining) with no more than 600$?
am i always asking too much?
