Thumbs up

"Balls",

Nice cover. Seems you got the mood down. Vox are pretty good. Are you looking for mix/recording advice, or just for thumbs up or down? Cuz there's some tuning problems on both guitars and bass, too that would make crawdad's ears blow up (the D string on the lead guit... ouch! )

If this is just for craps and laughs, it's cool brutha.

Danger Will Robinson, Danger!!! Tuning problems ahead!!
Pretty good otherwise....oh yeah ...another vote for a different snare sound. That one sounds like a nail gun.

i agree that the snare needs a huge makeover.............it sounds good performance wise.............not a masterful production recording wise, but it captures the main vibe pretty well............

Are you singing? The vocals sound really great on this! Very true to form.

I didn't care for the drum sound on this -- imhop -- They seemed a bit too out front compared to the rest.

You totally have a good vibe going. I think the singing is really excellent on this!

Nice job!

very nice.
I am listening on a pc.
The voice sounds like behind the instruments, does it have any delay or too much reverb? I'll like it to be as defined as the bass.
Also, there are some cymbal hits that sound odd, as if the kick is not supporting them. But then again, that's not a recording issue.

Cheers, Andrés

The vocals are good.. very clear, and the voice is nice. The Bass is pretty tight (except at the end when he starts doin' more licks) and fairly accurate to the original...

but....

(and there's always a "but")

the guitars and drums were pretty inadequate. The guitar intro was not true to the original (sort of like the "cheaters version") and the guitar sound/playing is lacking (i.e. previously mentioned tuning issues). The bass drum was nearly non-existant. That really needs to be brought up.. it has almost no presence... and I agree that the snare sound was annoying... but sometimes there's just not much you can do to "help" programmed drums.

Over-all though, this is a good cover... I think with some cleaning up it could be a great remake... the vocals and bass are already there.. just bring the quality of the guitars up and consider some different drum sounds and it would be pretty spiffy.

The guitars are too far out of tune to even give an opinion on this one.....ok,now the guitars are gone and it's just bass ,drums and vocals.......nice groove on the bass and the vocals sound pretty good.

That chorus on the lead guitar is making the out of tune guitar even worse than it is.....chorus and an out of tune guitar are not friends.

Overall this is a pretty good little sketch of this cover.

well guys as i mentioned, this was one of our first recordings, and it was about 2 days aftrer we got fruity loops, so we just wanted to try it out, and that was the best snare sample we had!

if you want to hear how far we've come recording wise, listen to...
