Question Almost there

I have attached a file that shows a rough drawing of my room. I have been looking into Johns studio setup

ala http://www.locall.aunz.com/~johnsay/

John turned me to that as a solution to my 250 500 hz issue ( I will post the modes in a followup post )

I am about to build the wall units and want to put the other absorption pieces in but space appears to be a serious factor for me.

The corner bass traps being 2ft by 2ft does not leave me much between them for the front and back wall pieces.

My question is, is there another option for me? like in the Everest books it gives the specs on building 1/4" pegboard boxes with 703 that gives .97 absorbtion at 250 and .99 500. If I put something like this in the front and or back what should I do for better bass absorbtion in the corners that does not take up the whole wall?

Does this make any sense?

Thanks for any help
Ryan

Ryan,

In the attached article Ethan Winer suggests putting two of his larger/deeper bass traps at corner intersections. Not sure if it's as effective but most likely pretty good and it will save you space.
