Midiman 2X2 latency ???

What the feezzy... I got all this high tech b.s. on my laptop and I can't even enter one measily note on time. What kinda sh-- is this? It must work for somebody somehow or how else would it sell.

Any of ya'll using a Midiman 2X2 USB box? Laptop or desktop? Do you have a work around for the latency? What drivers and software you using? If not Midiman then what's workin for you? Help ya boy out.

I'm using Cubase SX and Sonar XL with some VST's and I can't get a decent note into my laptop. My cousin dropping hot ones on a slow older desktop. HUH? Anyway...My next move is coppin the Presonus Firestation firewire audio/midi in/out box. Anybody using firewire right now? It's got hella bandwidth so i'm thinking it can't be worse but it's still got o thru the computer. DAMN this computer sh--!

I'm using the MidiMan 4x4 with the MS_4x4_4.1.14 driver on a desktop. Cubase 5.1 no problem after i figured that Hubi thing out.

I haven't used it with SX yet cuz i haven't felt like trying to figure it out . but when I get a chance i'll try some basic seqencing to see what happens

I've been trying the Hubi's Loopback joint and can't figure it out. That's what you're talkin about?

Did you have latency problems before using Hubi's? Are you using XP?

Preciate you're help doc.

I'm using Windows ME. and I couldn't control 5.1 at all until I installed Hubi.

I had to set my controller as midi input but map it to a hubi port.

This link tells how to intsall hubi
