ayotte wood hoops - anyone used?

how much should I expect to pay for these guys and are they up about the same as pacific, yamaha, or other custom made wood hoops? I offered $30.00 to a guy for a new 14" 10 lug batter side hoop, am I nuts or does that sound reasonable?
