New Turntables... (TTX1s)

For those who care to know...

The Numark TTX1 turntables are off the damn hook.
Features are ill:

Excellent torque (for battlecats like myself)...

adjustable start/brake times...

pitch control variable from plus/minus 8 to plus/minus 50 (!!!!)...

reverse feature second only to Pioneer's CDJ1000...

Key lock feature is quite useable - no particularly strange artifacts (works only with line out, not
phono out)...

built-in s/pdif...

straight & s tonearms work lovely...

adjustable feet helpful in a pinch...

BPM counter is useable (for those who care to use it)...

quartz lock/disengage feature is cool for blends close to the zero point...

dual start/stop buttons perfect for however one wants to set up their tables...

removable and location-adjustable pitch shift & speed control is hella phat so you don't have to bend like a contortionist if you spin with your wheels "battle style..."

oh, and if you change those joints around, the display automatically adjusts by 90 degress, too, so shit is always facing you properly...

They come with slipmats that actually work with no extra shit under 'em for extra speed (though I may add something anyway - fuck a car, my wheels gots to be speedy)...

I've put them through a minor workout, and I'm loving them. If they hold up through the winter months of abuse I have in store for them, then Technics just lost a customer on the TT tip...

And just so cats don't think I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to turntables, I've been spinning on 1200s since 85...
